How Unific's pricing works

Baseline and Usage-based pricing on monthly and annual plans

We all know that e-commerce is a seasonal business for most companies. Thus, Unific has made its pricing match the Ecommerce business model and made it a base price plus usage-based.

To see current pricing, visit out pricing page.

There are two types of pricing: Monthly and Annual and we will discuss both below:

Monthly Pricing

Components:

  • Base price - a price for a minimum number of orders/month defined in the plan
  • Usage price - a cost calculated when the store surpasses the minimum number of orders/month in the plan

Base Price

A base price is a minimum we need to charge, no matter how many orders you get per month. For example, if you receive less than the minimum number of orders per month defined on the plan, then Unific charges the minimum price.

Usage Price

A usage price is a price per order calculated after the number of orders per month is greater than the minimum defined in the plan.

Annual Pricing

Components:

  • Annual price - a price for the entire year for the estimated orders per month
  • Baseline orders per month - the minimum number of orders per month your store got in the last 12 months.
  • Usage price - a cost calculated when the store surpasses the baseline number of orders/month defined in the plan

Annual Price

The annual price is calculated from the baseline orders per month.

Baseline orders per month

A baseline of orders per month is the minimum number of orders per month your store got in the last 12 months. This will help predict the next 12 months' minimum number of orders usage so that the baseline is not over or under-estimated.

Usage Price

A usage price is a price per order calculated after the number of orders per month is greater than the Baseline orders per month defined in the plan. The usage price for annual plans is calculated at the end of each month and charged at the end of that month. The usage cost calculation is the number of orders the store surpassed multiplied by the cost per overage order defined in the plan pricing terms.

What if we have multiple stores?

Unific calculates the number of orders synced at the account level. So if you have additional stores, Unific will just aggregate the orders across all stores.

Is the plan automatically upgraded to a higher plan?

No, Unific will not upgrade the account to a higher plan. The usage-based pricing helps us keep your plan at a predictable price unless you surpass the number of orders.

If you are surpassing the baseline number of orders per month consistently and are being charged usage fees, you may increase the baseline number of orders for an additional annual price.

Can I downgrade the annual plan?

On annual plans, you may downgrade it after your annual plan term is over. You must provide notice before plan renewal as defined in our Terms of Service.

Can I upgrade monthly the plan to an annual plan?

The monthly plan has no billing contract, thus you may upgrade it at any time to an annual plan. Please set up a call here to discuss the annual plan.
